Dr Ali is one of exceptionally few expert witnesses in the UK with the tripartite qualifications of terminal regulatory status (Chartered Engineer), a PhD-grade computer science education and real-world experiencing building large-scale computer systems used billions of times daily. He also studied cogntive psychology at the University of Cambridge and is currently also completing a qualifying law degree in Scots law at the University of Edinburgh.
Posessing full membership of the Expert Witness Institute, he has brought his cybersecurity, software engineering and data science knowledge to assist in resolving both civil and criminal cases, from domestic abuse to murder. Cases have included:
